If Alaska Republicans want to keep their House seat…

…they’ll choose Sean Parnell in next Tuesday’s primary.  New polling from Ivan Moore Research shows that Democratic House candidate Ethan Berkowitz beats Rep. Don Young by a 10-point margin in the general election.  However, when matched up against Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell,  Berkowitz loses by a 5-point margin.

In light of this, why vote for Rep. Young in the primary?  He’ll probably be out of office in January regardless.

Last I checked, it’s not the GOP’s seat, but the Alaskan people’s seat, to fill how they like. I think that the sense of GOP entitlement in Alaska is a big part of their current problems there. Well, that and they turned Alaska into a huge welfare state – over the objections of the Democrats because I guess there are some entitlement programs even Dems can’t stomach.
