Stone and Goddard Tackle Democrat Opponents on Energy Policy

Republican candidate for Georgia’s District 12, John Stone knows exactly who’s to blame for our high gas prices - Democrat incumbent, Rep. John Barrow.

John Stone, a Republican trying to unseat Democratic U.S. Rep. John Barrow of Savannah, calls the incumbent “a prime member of Congress responsible for $4-a-gallon gas.”

Stone supports an immediate gas tax moratorium to lower prices by as much as fifty cents a gallon. He also supports the “All of the Above” approach to solving our country’s dependency on foreign oil.  Stone is the former President of U.S. Freedom Foundation, a non-partisan, non-profit conservative organization founded in 2002 to protect the economic interests of middle-income American families.

Republican challenger for Georgia’s Eighth District, Rick Goddard had similar sentiments.

GOP challenger Rick Goddard accuses Jim Marshall of Macon, the incumbent Democratic congressmen he’s running against, of opposing legislation to drill off more of the U.S. coast in an effort to cut the nation’s dependence on imported oil.

Goddard believes our dependency on foreign oil is a national security issue and one that should be taken seriously.  He supports the “All of the Above” solution to our country’s energy crisis. Goddard proudly served his country as an officer in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 2000 after nearly 34 years of active duty.
